My people and i are running this trail next weekend, 3/13.

I ran it about a year ago. Do not remember any crazy obstacles. I do remember some tight spaces between rocks and trees, some technical driving. There is still some old mining equipment to peruse and explore.

we are meeting at the gas station on HWY 87, across from fort mcdowell casino at 9 am

have your people get with my people, then follow the blue jeep

Man looks like I’m going to miss another one. Hopefully 1-2 more weekends and I can get this kitchen finished up and have my weekends back for fun stuff like wheeling!

If you don't remember any crazy obstacles you bypassed them! Stick to the creek.

Spare dry clothes already packed, more aggressive tread tires swapped out. See you at 9.

Be safe out there! I hope you guys have a crazy good time.
It got a little crazy slippery with the snow, but you missed a good trip, no carnage,

Today was another fabulous run. Snowed from trail start to exit. No breakage, no stuckage. Plenty of skid plate testing. There are a couple nasty rocky sections that have no bypass. No pretty way thru. Pick a line and hope for the best. Or the jeep will switch to "autopilot" randomly and slide around, finding its own way thru. Close your eyes and hang on for the ride. The snow made a challenging trail more.....interesting. Very cold and windy at the higher elevations. Thanks to people who graced me with their presence.

At least you guy's get to go out all year.

The pic is my back yard, about a half hour ago. The state DOT is issuing warnings to stay off the roads and a the interstates (I25 & I70) and a couple highways are closed.
The pic is after Mrs. Lucky went out and knocked some of the heaviest snow off the pine trees.

I have chains for the Jeep but I'm gonna stay by the fire with Mrs. Lucky and a nice cup of hot chocolate. Maybe get out the bearskin rug.

Good Luck, L.M.

Yup, Even when it's 115* in the valley It is still bearable during the summer if we get up in the mountains a little.

Bearskin rug and a fire sounds interesting too.

cleaned all of the 'fun' off of the jeep today and found a little bit of carnage from all the sliding around on the rocks. The aluminum tie rod flexed when it hit a rock like it is supposed to, but the steering stabilizer shock took a hit.
