I have an 85 CJ7 with a 4.5” Rubicon Express loft. I replaced the shocks with Procomp Es9000’s.My question is if I have the front shock mounted at the top how far past the bottom perch should the shock travel if it’s not connected?
That question is hard to answer. As long as you installed shocks for the amount of lift you have it should have the standard amount if travel. Meaning if you installed standard shocks with that lift you will have zero travel vs shocks designed for a specific lift amount. I hope this makes sense.
