Swapping Axles with a 4 Cyl..

Hello Jeepers,
I have a question...This might be stupid, but..

If someone I know has a 1997 Wrangler, and I have a 1998, but he has 4 cylinder, and I have 6 cylinder, but he has 4.11 gears, could I swap his axles up to mine with no problem? I was hoping to get him to trade with me or something, probably won't happen, but just a shot...

Also, will it give me better performance with 33" tires? (More than the 3.73's)?

Thanks!

I would not trade if you have a dana 44 rear. Other wise bolt in.

I'm not sure, I'm not even sure if this one has 4.10's I just wanted to know if it was a bolt in because I know with my Comanche to Cherokee it's pretty much a bolt in...

Yeah I know both axles. I'm beginning to work on my jeep and drive my 2.5l Comanche around so I want to get ready trails later on.

The early 4cyl 5spds got 4.10 the 03-06 or when they got the 2.4 got 4.56s with the auto that's the friggin unicorn of stock axles. The sixes got 3.07 and 3.73 and only in 97 3.55's were an option. Can't remember what all the autos got with a six.
