Still under warranty but figure I'd ask here for some input before I have to waste time at the dealership if this is an easy fix.

My sway bar disconnect button is not engaging nor showing up on the dash when it's pressed. Is this perhaps a fuse issue?

The dealership just replaced the cooling fan, TIPM, and PCM two weeks ago after the cooling fan quit working and engine was obviously running hot. A flash of the system was the fix - but they left the three new parts installed. It took them over a week to figure out the issue...

Hi SoaringUSAEagle,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to revisit your local dealership I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed, just send us a PM with your VIN and let me know.

Mine began to malfunction about a month ago, wouldn't disconnect and the light kept flashing. Read all the forums and tried everything I could but no luck. Had it checked out and the dealership wanted an astronomical amount to replace it so I'm going with and EVO manual disconnect.

Mine would take a while to disconnect and then take a while to reconnect so I removed it, disassembled it, and cleaned it out with brake cleaner. It was pretty gunked up. I reassembled it with some axle grease and it works fine. PITA to get the mounting bolts out of the frame. Took about 4 hours start to finish. Not very complicated. I also rotated the sway bar motor upon reassembly so the new skid plate would clear.

Is there any preventive maintenance to do to the disconnect, a grease fitting or spray some WD some where, anything at all ?

I See that repairs are very expensive so I'm looking to avoid that in the future if I can.

Though you didn't mention it, you must be in 4H or 4L to e-disconnect the sway bar. It also won't disconnect above 18MPH, but you should get a flashing light on the dash if it is not connected when in 4WD.
