Most folks camp, We do try to break up the rigs into groups.

The first 11 years the only way to tun your Jeep at the YO would have been a Jeep Jamboree at a cost of $240.00 - $265.00 per attendee.

Granted; that did include 7 meals but for a family of 4 it would have run you over $1,000.00.

Now you can run the same ranch with 10 new trails for a fraction of the cost from before. I have wheeled with hundereds of Jeepers at this Ranch over the past 9 years. To this day I have never met anyone that did not think it was worth every penny. Either at a JJUSA event or under the new YO Wheeling Program.

I just got back from my 16th wheeling trip to this ranch and now I can't wait till the SWFWDA event.

I hope you like it as mush as I do.

Most folks do...

Most folks show up op on Thurday night....

You can get there on Friday AM and set up your camp after you run on the first day.

But if the weather holds you can use the pool to unwind your kids at night.

Have you looked at some of the Photos I posted on the other links?

Let it rain

We are getting a slow, steady soaking in the San Antonio area today it looks the same all over the Texas Hill Country; not like that monsoon they had in El Paso last month.

It started sprinkling around the Kerrville, Mountain Home area late yesterday.

If it sprinkles like this all week I'd be okay with it, because it would help to lift the county wide burn ban. As I survey the trips I’ve made this past year we have had a burn ban at every event I've been to so far this year.

I miss those campfires after a good day of wheeling and a fantastic dinner.

There are still a few spots left for this event so if you have been on the fence about it the long term forecast for the end of the month is looking cool and comfortable for that weekend.

I'm so ready for this trip and I hope to see plenty of you there!.

I am anxious also.... I don't think the day could go any slower. I am so ready for a wheeling trip. what is the weather like, Is the burn ban still in palce? Did the Ranch fill up.

Well it seams that there will be a crawd

Did you say somthing abought lunch on Thursday?

I am lookin foward to camping out i hope the weather is nice there!!!!
It's the same way here...

I detailed my Jeep This weekend the top is off 78 Degrees right now clear blue skies and a soft northely breeze blowing outside. I want to wheel!!

Two Texas Hill Country Counties lifted their burn bans today so by the time the event gets here I'd say YES! So as of right now there is no Burn Ban @ the ranch.

Rachel and I were thinking of having lunch in Boerne around 11:00 when they open, grab some enchalads and a margarita before the trip. There is a resturant in Boerne called "El Matador" I like the food there so that's the plan for now...

Here is part of an email I just got from the ranch last week:

"As of 09/15/2006:
127 vehicles and 257 guests are registered for the SWFWDA Fall Event!
Breakdown on Vehicles:
1- Samari
1- Chevy Z71
3- Toyota
1- Ford Expedition
1- Hummer
The rest are all Jeeps……
5 - Vendors Have Registered:
Jeep Outfitter.com
PSC Motorsports
Krawltex – Austin – Glen Carnes
T-N-T – Wyoming
CJ’s Adventure Flix – Event DVD"

You know JeepTales.com will be there and Ancira is sending up one or two JK for a static display.

anyone else form here going?

I will use my best Sales Mojo!:D

Rachel is driving in from Houston on Thursday am she is going to meet me at Ancira and I'll load her stuff in a new JK. She and I are going to Boerne to garb an early lunch. Then it’s off to the Ranch! My plan is to be there by 1:00 ish.

Mark is going to join us later that evening so there will be three off us From JeepTales.

All of the trial guides are going to try to get their by 2:00 so we can hang all the banners and finish packing the goodie bags, that way, when you guys show up we will be ready for you.

I know there are 10-12 Jeeps coming from the Lone Star Jeep Club in the DFW Area. There will be at least 20 of us from S.A.J.E. The vast majority of the Guides are from A.J.E. but they will have about 15 other participants from that club. I know the Alpine Gang is coming. A whole lot of folks are going to pack op their toys form the YO and go straight to Big Bend for the Next Weekends run..

Whoever does not go to Big Bend I sure hope they show up at the Ancira Show & Shine the following weekend.

Too good not to share

This is just too good not to sahre...Has this ever happend to you?

Top 10 Signs you are ready to go Wheeling

  • It is Saturday and you have already packed the sleeping bag, tent and lantern in the trunk but aren’t leaving until Thursday.
  • You start driving over Houston’s pot holes slowly and think about taking a picture.
  • While you are flipping channels on TV, you actually stop to watch a Jeep commercial.
  • The appropriate clothes are hanging and/or folded all together ready to be packed.
  • The memory card on the camera has been cleared and the batteries charged.
  • The liquor selection has been set aside and you wonder if it will be enough.
  • You have been emailing your wheeling buddies for weeks about what to bring for dinners.
  • Your Out of Office reply is on and says, “My mind is already on vacation, my body will be out on Thursday and Friday.”
  • Instead of being productive on a perfectly good Saturday, you sit in front of the computer and come up with stupid stuff like this.
  • A devilish smile comes across your face when you see a Jeep on the road and think, “I can drive that rig better than him.”

Counting down the seconds

If I hit the road by 11:00 on Thursday it breaks down to...

So it is only 165,600 seconds until I'm on my way to YO Ranch for my last big trip of the year.

I have 20 cases of Beer from my Friends at Lone Star to share with my Jeepin' buddies. I still need to stop for a box of Cigars for the trip, and pick up the Fixing’s for my Famous Trail Margaritas and the last few groceries.

Everything else is already packed and I'm ready to hit the road!

I'm so pumped about this trip... Just look at the Chamber of Commerce Weather

Some of my buddies will be going the Jeep Jamboree in Hot Springs in October but I need to say home and work and sell a few of the new JKs

So I guess when I get back I'll start counting down to March 22nd to the 2007 Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree in Llano. Well at least I'll have work days and a few hunting trips over the winter to keep me sane.
