Tommorow I need to replace the tailpipe on my 98 Sahara. Everything rear of muffler. Im thinking I will just saw the old pipe just behind the muffler and cut a little off of the new pipe so they line up correctly. Then I will get a tiny piece of exhaust that is slightly wider they the others and clamp it on to the two pieces on both ends. I pulled off the old hanger bottoms already so the hangers wont cause any trouble. Is it that simple? Does anybody have any advice?

They make the flanged pieces of exhaust that will fit nicely onto the stock 2.25" tubing. Your local parts store or muffler shop should have all the little pieces you need to build the exhaust. You really should get it welded though.

I got mine at autozone. Wasn't that bad. Toughest part was separating the old tailpipe from the muffler.
