So the PO lost the securing nut for my passenger side mirror (stock I believe) and when I tried to put on a standard nut from the parts store the thread on the bolt completely stripped off. I'm not sure if the thread was weak or if I stripped it by forcing on the wrong size nut?

Either way, I would like to try and secure the mirror on so I can use it and was trying to think of a good way to macgyver it. My initial thought was to use a hose clamp, but I'm not sure if I will be able to fit it up in that space. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any bright ideas on what I can use to secure my mirror?

Take it off measure and get a die to put threads back on and bolt on.. pull it off drill hole and put a small hitch pin or cotter pin In.. if you dont want it to ever come off jb weld the nut to it..
