$409 with a driveline. Has anyone installed this kit? The only issue is a lead time of a month for the driveline. I'm in CA and I tend to move through projects fairly quickly. Can anyone in CA recommend a good supplier for this and is anyone local willing to help me install (I will pay you). I want to know what's going on inside every inch of the jeep I'm building. I checked a youtube link and it doesn't look too difficult but it does look unwieldy to do alone.

Thanks.

My suggestion would be to contact Tom Wood (ask for him by name and use me as the referrer if the answerer pushes back) and ask what his deliveries are like.

Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts - Tom Woods Custom Drive Shafts Custom Driveshafts Specialist

Tom is about the best known manufacturer/provider of driveshafts and SYE kits for Jeeps and gives unsurpassed/friendly pre and post-sales support. I've been using his products for 16-17 years and have learned over the years what a great individual Tom is to deal with. Finally had the pleasure meeting him at a 4x4 show years ago, a very nice guy in person and on the phone.

Regarding the installation process, there is NO need to entirely remove the transfer case. It's easier and faster to leave the transfer case bolted to the transmission and just remove the rear half of the transfer case to install the SYE kit.
