Hey guys ,
My 2.5 93 wrangler has a steady ticking sound while engine is running. Its not crazy loud or any thing but it is definitely noticeable . Is there a way I can figure out what is making this noise and any ideas on how to correct it. Thanks for the help

Possible carbon monoxide getting into the cabin. Poor running. Emissions issues. Anything else? Maybe.

Could just be a high voltage leak or arc gap at one ot the plug wires or something like that.

It could also be a lifter tick. My 4.0 started to tick from one of the lifters.

The timing chain will tick if it is loose.

You need to listen, possibly using a mechanics stethoscope, carefully searching for the source.
