My Jeep is acting like it is running out of fuel when it's about 1/2 full

It's happened 3 times now, this time it only has 155 miles on a full tank, and I get between 18 and 20 mpg so it should have at least 7 gallons in it.

Fuel pick up? or time for new pump?

Who makes a good pump? Bosch? Auto-zone/Advanced/O-Rilies special?

Go for either a Mopar or a Bosch. Avoid store brands from AutoZone/O'Reilly's/etc., Airtex, or Spectra. My previous Spectra failed when not even 3 years old and Airtex is even worse.

The best pricing I've seen for Mopar is at WeRMopar.com - OEM Parts For Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Vehicles or you can go to Amazon.com or eBay.com and find a Bosch. I only paid $120 delivered for my last Bosch fuel pump found on eBay sold by Herko who treated me exceptionally well and shipped it fast.

Thanks Jerry, i really don't like the discount store parts either.

How long do your pumps last? I try to keep at least 1/4 tank of fuel.

The amount of fuel kept in a tank has no effect on the life of the the TJ's fuel pump. It is cooled by fuel running through it and when the engine runs out of gas and dies the PCM immediately shuts the fuel pump off so it will never overheat. Mopar pumps should last probably no less than 7-8 years. :)
