do you mean 2 in of susp. AND two of body ??
if so 33's can be used but then you will have less power to go uphill and to tow, but it will not affect any driving ability if you already have the lift. If you are looking for really safe, take the body lift out and put on 32's

It's only an inch:). I've got stock gears and 33's. I lost fifth on hills but no problems other then that. All though with the 4cyl you might have to regear. I've got the 6. A friend of mine has the 4 and is running 35's, regeared and spooled ford 9".

if it wasn't for the gears and the 4banger then there would be no reason not to go 33's...i think they thought you only had 2" lift.

go with 33's !!!
the reason you have a jeep isnt to go really fast, and it is only really on the uphill and your not talking about towing so why not go for the 33's if you feel that you have lost power what better an excuse to regear or get better axles or do engine upgrades!!!and most 33's are closer to 32"s anyways

When people recommend a 33" tire size, they aren't saying exactly 33", they are just saying the size tires that are typically labeled 33". Same with 33", same with 37", ad nauseum. So when a recommendation is made, don't be so literal as most of us know tire sizes aren't exact but we all know what advertised tire sizes work. And most actual tire sizes are closer to the advertised size than they are to the next smaller size as some are trying to say.

ok good point, but still not a reason to not go with 33's
and the difference in circumfrence is just 3 in and the %differnce from stock (circumfrence) to 32's is about 8.7% and 33's is 12.3% different so there is a differnce, but that is only if i did my math right, im not positive!

my bfg's are "32's" but they are about 31". my buddies swampers are "34's" but they are only 32" and also another dude i know that has mastercraft MT's that are "33's" and measure 32".

BFG's 32x11.50 AT is 31.7 per BFG. BFG's MT 32x11.50 is 31.8" per BFG. Those are all closer to their advertised size than they are to the next smaller size.

I didn't see a 34" Super Swamper but a 33" Super Swamper's true diameter, per Interco, is 33.5". A 36" Super Swamper is 35.9".

Mastercraft's 33" Courser measures 32.5".

If you're measuring them when mounted, then yeah of course some won't measure up to their spec'd diameter.

Yes I know some tires are significantly smaller but as you can see above, those examples you gave proved closer to their advertised sizes. Super Swampers are actually a bit bigger than advertised on many of their tires, kind of like Rubicon Express suspension lifts. :)

thats it...all the measurements i gave were measured when they were mounted...i've heard super swampers are a little bigger than advertised

BTW...at first i was joking about saying "and most 32's are closer to 31" because even if a 33 measures closer to 32 and a 32 measures closer to 31 either way its still a full inch...but if i say get a 33 i do mean a tire that says 33" on the sidewall and not necessarily a tire that measures up to 33.
