I have a 2017 Sahara Unlimited with 255/70/18s.

For 33s, I know I can go to a 275/70/18 with the stock 18x7.5 wheels and a good set of Spidertrax wheel spacers (and the Teraflex Leveling Kit).

I have no issues with the stock Sahara wheels as they work well with the silver body of my JKU, so I'm not itching for a new wheel just for looks.

My question, thinking 1-2 tire sets down the road, is there a 33" all terrain tire size typically cheaper than the 275/70/18 that would justify the cost of new wheels over just spending $200 for spacers? This being based on a 275/70/18 BFG KO2 running ~$240/tire.

This is an everyday driver that only sees gravel roads and creek crossings at the hunting camp, so I'd like to avoid 15" or 16" wheels for ride quality.

Going from yourstock 32s to 33's to me might not be worth the upgrade. Hear me out:

For 32's (your price) with spare

$240 x 5 = 1200.

For 315s KO2's (4wp or 4wd) without spare:

$199 x 4 = $792
4 17x9 wheels $150x4 = $600

You can find decent wheels for about $150. Total for 35s which will be dramatically different from your 32's would be $1392. Not much more than the 33's in cost but with wheels and to me worth the upgrade. You can get the 5th and tire carrier down the road.

Just a suggestion..its your jeep!
