Eventually I will put a D44 in front, then regear to 5.13 or 5.38 with ARB lockers and a teraflex big break kit and master cylinder upgrade.

Until i can afford all of that, I want 35s. Can I run 35s on my 3.21 gears without causing problems to the trans, transfercase, driveshafts, etc. And without being sluggish?

Or is this a bad idea?!

You can do that and not put a strain on your drivetrain. Only issues you would have is if you had a Dana 35 it would put some stress on it. As for being sluggish it will be even more so if your running an auto trans. What size tires you plan on running with 5.13 gears and what trans/engine do you have

I have the 3.6L pentastar v6.
6 speed manual transmission

I was planning on running 35s with 5.13s

I'm thinking either 5.13s, then tires when.my 32s need to be replaced.

Or tires then gears....and add lockers when.I have.money

5.13s are low I installed 5.13s on my buddies 2011 Rubi same engine/trans and hes running 40's that put him close to stock power. You should get all the parts then install at the same time. To go from 3.21 to 5.13 or anything above 3.72 will require a new carrier. So if you install your gears with out the lockers you will spend 1200$ in labor and probably another 160 for carriers 200$ in install kits. Then turn around and in stall lockers that will be another 1200$ in labor and 200$ for install kits. Running 32's with 5.13 thats crazy you will be 5k RPM at 65mph.

Pentastar? Standard trans? You ought to be fine with 35's :thumb:

Stick to a lighter combo if you're concerned about weight and the like. 35" km2's or 35" mtrk's are pretty light.
