Hello. I have a 2015 rubicon unlimited. I want to put some meaty tires on her. I'm looking at 305's can I put them on without having to do a lift? Without any rubbing or should've go with a 285?

The numbers you provide only give the tire section width.

285 = 11.2"
305 = 12"
255/75r17 are basically a 32x10

In general you should be good up to 33x11 maybe 12.

Both those sizes especially the 305's will need wheel spacers or you'll get rubbing when turned lock to lock. Also if you do 33's without a lift I wouldn't disconnect your front sway bar or you are going to make tire contact with your fenders when flexing.

1.5" wheel spacers and a Teraflex leveling kit would take care of those issues without breaking the bank.
