Dose anybody know how to tell what axle I have. I have a 2001 Sahara
Does this apply if I have larger than stock tires?and if you are unsure of it being what the tag says you can do the following.
1. Jack the rear of the Jeep up.
2. Mark a spot on the driveshaft so that you can count the turns.
3. Spin the tire that is in the air two (2) full turns while counting the turns of the drive shaft.
about three turns (a little more) will indicate 3.07 gears
three and a quarter turns will indicate 3.73 gears
a little more than four turn will indicate 4.10 gears
I think you get the idea now!
