Not much significance to these images, just having a little fun. However, thermal imaging can be used to diagnose a whole host of mechanical and electrical heat related issues in many different applications including automotive. Shot with a FLIR E50 Thermal Imager.

Wow very cool picture! I could see that being very very useful for things like sticking calipers, exahust leaks, or even overloaded wires.

You use the same thing at work to find bearings that are heating up on equipment. Works out kinda cool so it ca be fixed on down time so it doesn't go out when super busy.

Do you know if you cover it mud, you won't be able to see it?
Or is that just made up for the movie?

Tested on mythbusters :thumb: only works for a short period of time, but I guess if you kept flying around a mud hole it would work!
