Hi all,

For anyone that used torque boxes from classic enterprises, did you paint them before welding? The website says that they are not "cosmetically coated" which makes me believe that they will rust easily without a paint job. I wouldn't paint the part where the torque box meets the body because of welding but would do the inside and outside.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Anthony

I purchased drivers side torque box section and had it installed by the guy that sold me the Jeep (2004) These are well made , but I wouldn't paint until installed. You might paint inside before installing , but your welder might not like the smell. Use POR after finish.. The installer said it was not an easy job, but finished product looked great. Also, got floor section from Classic, pricy , but oil well and only used a piece of it
