Been on both and , yes both cool.Number one, red elephant. A little challenging but a great trail close to Denver. Number two, middle St Vrain. Nice trail with great obstacles and a great river crossing.
, Ok, funny but really, what trails do you enjoy the most?Without a doubt I-25 between Monument and Castle Rock. Driving 95mph in my jeep will pucker me more than any trail.
When is it too late in the year to run Holy Cross? I'd like to give it a go without snow on it, but I'm worried it might already be too late.Holy Cross is first, Chinaman and Wheeler close tie for second.
I know some yota guys who ran it last weekend, no snow at all. The creek was almost dry making it easier for them.jagerhelix said:When is it too late in the year to run Holy Cross? I'd like to give it a go without snow on it, but I'm worried it might already be too late.
Ya that's probably a bit late.jagerhelix said:I'm out of town until the 25th, so I won't be able to until after that. I think I might be pushing my luck on the weather at that point.
i'm biased towards the forks of the swan, deer creek, sts johns here in breck. Nice mix of below treeline with some challenges and some awesome high alpine cruising. Once you're up high its similar to the ouray trails, minus the crazy steep steep cliff side descent.
Also, plane crash and ironclads were pretty cool. And theres an awesome goat trail next to the red elephant trail that justin can show you.....
