My transfer case seem to leak oil where it attaches to drive shaft. I recently did u-joints on the drive shaft (rear) and when I pulled the drive shaft out of Tcase, oil (20-30 ml) poured out. So, I went and bought a seal for the T-case. Just want to make sure that I’m on right track. Please let me know. How difficult is to reach the seal? I see three bolts, is that all I need to take off to reach the seal?

When you remove the driveshaft from the tcase, usually oil will come out, the drive shaft was preventing it from leaking. Replace the seal if it was leaking b4 you removed it, if not then just install the shaft and top off the tcase w/oil. If you want to replace the seal just pop the old 1 out and tap in the new 1.

ok, my question is, that cone kind of thing that holds the drive shaft seems to be held by three bolts to T-Case. Is that all I need to remove?
