i have an 87 wrangler
I was tring to drain my trans case but i undid the wrong bolt and i tryed moving the bolt thats on the very bottom of the trans case its a 3/4 bolt that has a spring in it

the problem is that the bolt snapped off and part of it is still in the case can any one show me a picture of it so i can see what i have to try and get out

and any other advice on how to get it out would also be of big help

and if any one can tell me how to drain my trans liek where the plug is for that that would help a ton

You will have to get a EZ out....drill hole according to instructions, turn easy out counterclockwise to remove bolt...

it might at this point, be easier to remove the t-case and split it open, the bolt you tried to remove is the detent for the shifter..the drain..is on the back of the case..there are two bolts..either hex head or internal socket head, one is at the lower left on the back, the other, about half way up and more towards the center of the case on the back. the lower-drain, the other-fill, you only want to fill it, till the fluid starts to escape over the threads...the detant bolt-(on the bottom of the case) has a spring and a ball cap, it rides on the shifter bell crank and keeps it positive..even if you get the rest od that broken bolt out, you will need to remove the spring and cap, can't let that stuff rattle around..lots of threads on removal and case splitting..(remember to ONLY use the screw driver points) to split..good luck~fly..
