New (to me ) jeep, going through all my fluids and changing them. Everything seems straight forward...till I came to the manual transmission. It's a AX-15, all kinds of stuff....go redline MT-90...Don't do any GL-5 rated stuff....just use synthetic 10w/30 motor oil....so I'm at my local parts store (I like to try and use them, locally owned mom and pop place)...they have the Royal Purple on sale, 10 bucks a qt....it's the Royal Purple 70w-90 (it's GL-5 rated...but says "safe for yellow metals")...I'm torn weather to go that way or save a couple bucks and go with 4 qts of the Mobile 1 10w/30 instead. Don't want to tear up my trans...will one shift and wear better than the other?

The Royal Purple 75W-90 is fine, the usual GL-5 issue is negated by it being "safe for yellow metals". If $$$ is an issue, a major brand synthetic 10W-30 engine oil is fine too.
