I've been trying to look at existing threads, but no clear answers.
I have a 2005 Tj with 65k miles and the nsg370 tranny. Ever since I got it (600 miles ago) it's had a grinding noise in neutral. It's not rhythmic and doesn't get faster with rpm. As soon as I push the clutch in, the sound stops, and if I have the clutch out in neutral, then increase the rpm, I hear a harsh grind and then it goes away until idle. Not sure if this helps, but I can feel the gear shifter vibrating with the sound, it feels like someone is tapping it with a pen.

Also, as a side note, when I'm shifting from 1st to second and I push the clutch in, I hear a bunch of clacking coming from the tranny. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
