I have a 2012 JKU automatic that won’t get out of limp mode. It drove fine yesterday. On my way to work this morning it started out in limp mode and has been in it since. There has been no recent off-roading or parts upgrades.

The code that pops up is P0657. I can clear it with my scanner but will come back up once the Jeep is started OR if I key off & back on again. No other transmission related or other new codes are present.

I have already checked all the transmission related fuses. I have also removed the electrical connector to the transmission and blown it out with air in case any moisture was in it. I also disconnected the TCM and reconnected it to make sure the connections were good. Nothing seemed to help.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Check the wires to the transmission, it could be a short or a broken wire in the harness.
