It’s finally time for me to become a contributing member of this forum. This is Navi, my 2014 Anvil JKU.




Navi is my third jeep but will be the first to receive some aftermarket loven. Unfortunately being a busy dad with many different hobbies my build will be very slow and not as “hot shit” as a lot of the builds posted.




First I added the Rugged Ridge phone mount



This thing works great, will hold my iPhone and my GPS.





My next simple mod was adding a LED mag light.






Next was something awesome to me - my last jeep I had a rock knob on the shifter. Once I sold the Jeep I really missed the feel of the rock knob shifter.




Of course the ever so popular Antenna X




After some looking around I wanted a simple rock rail within a reasonable price so I picked the Smittybuilt SRC classic rock rail (picked this up from Jason at Krawl offroad even though its not listed on their website)



Finally after trying to plasti dip my grill (turned out horrible) I picked up a black grill on ebay for $40. Love the looks



And here is where Navi stands today



Last week was a big order week for me - Jason at Krawl Off road help me out with the following parts.

LOD Armor lite shorty front bumper

Teraflex performance leveling kit



Also on the ordered list

Method Roost Bronze wheels
KC 5in Apollo Pro lights
KC 6in Apollo Pro Lights

Rugged Ridge Apillar switch panel
A couple OTRATTW switches



At the moment I don't have enough play funds for new tires and a lift so I'll be swapping my stock tires over the the new rims and running those for awhile.



First package showed up today! UPS guy will be busy this week!

FedEx out for delivery - one of my favorite things to see! So yesterday afternoon I thought I would bang out some jeep projects.

On the FedEx truck
Teraflex Carrier
Teraflex performance leveling kit
LOD Bumper

Or so I thought!!!!

First up I wanted to get the stock bumper off - was much easier than I thought it would be. But I do need some socket extenders (added to the list)


After that I thought I would work on wiring up my KC bull bar lights while I waited for Fedex to show up. Wiring was pretty straight forward bud finding a place for the relay was interesting. I would be interested to see where others put their relays. (forgot to take a picture of where I mounted mine)

Here is where I ran my wire through the firewall. Used a coat hanger to poke through and pull the wires.


After running all the wire conduit it was time to test out the light - figures crossed.


About 5 minutes after testing my lights the mail lady drove by (no packages) so that means I don't have my switches. No big deal - zip tied up all the wires and I'll finished this project another day.

Installed the rugged ridge a pillar before buttoning up the inside


Woot woot fedex shows up!! Time to get down to business...... Notice anything missing???? No bumper

So I put the stock bumper back on - all the while I'm getting text messages from my buddies making fun of me. It's my own fault - lesson learned.

After getting the stock bumper back on I figured I would get the TF Hinge on. When I opened the box I have to admit I wasn't expecting something so Beefy!!! This hing is awesome! well done TF




I ran out of time for the night so I didn't get the tire carrier installed. I'll work on that this weekend. KC windshield lights will be here today (or so I think) might try to get those installed this weekend as well.

Had some time to get a few more projects finished over the weekend. First I added some new switches. I have all the wiring finished for my bumper lights but still no bumper. Windshield lights should be delivered today.


Next up was the TF adjustable tire carrier. Still running my stock rims and tires - I put the plugs at the 35in tire setting.


For the first time ever I can open up my tailgate with my bike rack on!


Crossing my figures that I'll see my bumper and rims this week.

My windshield lights finally came in so I worked on those last night. Sometimes being on a budget REALLY sucks because I have to say that these KC light BLOW. They where only $110 so the price was perfect and I'll give them credit for brightness. But it's the small things that I think spending that extra cash worth it. For example
1. The wires on each light come out of the right side of the light. So when facing my jeep the left light wires come out of the right side of the light and down into the hood. The right light wire come out of the right side of the light then behind the light and into the hood. THIS DRIVES ME CRAZY! Why not have the light come out of the center back / center bottom of the light????
2. The wire coming out of the light itself is about 3in then a 1.5in connector - good grief how in the hell can anyone run a nice clean setup with that? They should give you 12in of wire out of the light so you can get that connector under the hood. Had to cut the connector off and splice the wires together.
3. This is what pisses me off the most - from the relay to the lights. 5ft of wire and thats it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really, you can barely run the engine bay with 5ft of wire. So I have the light closest to the battery with one splice in it because of the connector and the other light with 2 splices in it - length and connector.

After all said and done the lights look good - I'm glad I went with 5in on the windshield.

Bronze Method Roost wheels!!!

Came home to this awesome sight last night



After three weeks of waiting my wheels are finally here!!


of course I had to make sure they fit.


Navi is at the dealership today getting her makeover - wheels and Teraflex performance leveling kit! Can't wait to see her this afternoon.

BIG HUGE thanks to @TurkTTR for blazing the way, taking a risk and adding the Bronze Roost to his Anvil jeep first!

Received a call from the dealership - looks like I'm missing some parts for the new swaybar links... Called Teraflex and they are shipping out replacements - not a big deal they just have to put the stock swaybar links back on. Once I get the remaining parts I can swap them out.

Also I have to spring for new valve stems to work with the TPMS - 27 buck each!!! OUCH.

Teraflex Performance leveling kit report

So I took some before and after measurements of the jeep with the leveling kit installed.

Measurements taking in my flat garage using sharpie points made on the front and rear bumper and front fenders. Jeep had about a half a tank of gas both measurements.

Front Left before kit: 32in
Front Left after kit: 35in

Front Right before kit:31 3/8
Front Right after kit: 35 1/8

Front bumper before kit: 25 1/4
Front bumper after kit: 25 1/4

Rear Left before kit: 36 3/4
Rear Left after kit: 37 1/2

Rear Right before kit: 36 1/8
Rear Right after kit: 37 1/4

Rear bumper before kit: 21
Rear bumper after kit: 21.5

So it looks like I got around a half an inch in the rear and about 2 solid inchs in the front. I don't understand the big difference on the fenders but that might have been a mistake on my part. The bumper measurements are spot on what I expected.

Wow it was a busy weekend - took off a little early Friday to get a few things done around the house before my sons baseball game. When I get home this is sitting in the driveway!!


So excited!!!! I've wanted the LOD bumper since I bought my jeep.


Install was SUPER easy, however I didn't have bolts for the skid plate. Called LOD and they shipped them right out.


Yesterday morning I woke up extra early to put my KC 6in lights on. I think they really complete the look. I don't have the biggest jeep around by mine really looks grown up now.




Finally, the wife didn't like the silver center caps so I plasti dipped them. We both really like the outcome so I'll end up painting them once the dip start to wear off.

Bolts came in for my LOD skid last night - mounted that up and I can say I'm finished with round 1 build.

Round 2 will be in a month or so after I finish a few mountain bike races (another expensive hobby)

Round 2 list:
1. TF High Lift mount
2. High lift
3. Cobra 75 CB kit
4. Engo 9k winch
5. Drake Fire extinguisher mount w/ extinguisher.

That should complete the build until next year when I go larger tires and maybe larger lift.

Still need to paint my D-rings that may happen next weekend.
