Hey guys, ive had my jeep for a few months now and am really a beginner. Im needing to replace the shock absorbers and am trying to determine my lift size, to order the right part. Is there an easy way to determine this? Looking at the picture, can anyone help identify this for me? I appreciate the help.

Also see if you can get any part numbers off of the current shocks or suspension components. Part numbers and pics are a big help in identifying the brand and size of a unknown lift.

Need to get some up close pics of the suspension and where the body mounts to the frame. Good looking Jeep though!!
Thank you, sir!

Does this help? This ugliness is the reason that i am replacing the shocks... I will try to get some closer pics this afternoon and post them later this evening.

Looks like skyjacker shocks and a 2"-2.5" bb (FYI a "bb" or "budget boost", refers to the spacer on top of the spring).

wow, thats a mess.

no bumpstops....at all...not much of a bumpstop tower left, no bumpstop cup, and no jounce. shocks are way too long. track bar has been bashing on the differential cover.

you need a lot more than just shocks....you need to fabricate a whole new bumpstop setup on the front, and maybe the rear. ditch the crap track bar and fat diff cover, install a Currie, JKS or Metalcloak track bar with a Barnett diff cover. eliminate the budget boost, get some good springs of the proper height, and then you can pair them with good shocks.

post more pictures of the suspension, steering & components.

Good call here. Surprised I didn't catch it. More pictures are definitely needed.

Other than your suspension needing work however, nice jeep. White jeeps are the best :D

a quick way to see what size lift you have is to measure the coil under load, (weight of Jeep) stock is 12 inch front and 8 inch rear.

You have a metric but load of stuff that needs to be addressed. Start with what has been mentioned above. Quality springs, proper bumpstops, and a adjustable track bar, and some other stuff added in or taken away.

The more suggestions i get, the more sick to my stomach i am becoming. Ha ha. Although, as ive heard, owning a jeep is one repair after another and i am hoping to some of the work myself, to help me become more familiar with my rig. Thanks for all the help, so far, guys.

Here are some pics of steering components...
