So I am a big fan of lights on jeeps, but I have some questions and need some help with other jeepers opinions.

Front:
-HIDS vs Halogen
---I want all the jeeps forward facing lights to be the same. SO is it worth it to convert the headlights, stock fogs, and my 6" 55 watt Eagle Eye Spot lights to HIDS, or just stick with halogen?
---If i stay with the halogen lights, can i simply replace the 55 watt bulbs with 100 watters to increase the light out put, or do they need new housings?

- Square light bar lights?
--Would rectangle lights on a light bar look goofy if all the other lights on the front of a TJ are round?

-Are LED tail lights a good switch? What good Third break LED break lights options are there?

HID lights require a different diffusion pattern than halogen bulbs do. Your existing housing would have to be replaced to get a real big benifit, and also to keep from blinding others. Sticking with halogen is the logical choice, imo.

Depends on the rating. Most bigger housings will accept up to 130 or so, but check to see. The little guys have to be able to deal with the heat. Over 55w is usually "offroad" (brights).

I run squares because I have a YJ. Having said that, they look good with round lights too, so imo it is personal preference.

IDK about led brake light options, but lower usage, no heat, smaller size, and longer life are the biggest benefits.

Thanks for you thoughts.

I was looking into the prices of HIDs and found that just to replace the headlights was gunna cost me around 150 dollars, getting new housing and the HIDs themselves.
So for now thats probably out. I think it would look great if they were all HIDs, but not for the price it would take.

As far as the rectangle lights for the light bar, i feel like the best way to tell if it looks good is to just do it, but thats gunna cost a lot of money if i dont like ha ha.

The reason i would do it is because i made the mistake of putting round spot lights on a light bar, which doesn't make sense to me. I feel like you need some driving or floods, or combo, of the two.

i cant find any reasonably priced round driving or floods in the size i like, but i found some 6x9 with that pattern.
