We've FINALLY found someone who told us what we need to repair our 1994 Wrangler's turn signal but was told they are no longer available. The part they said we need is J4487816. Any advice would greatly be appreciated!!
I just had my steering column apart and refurbished the turn signal switch etc...
did "they" "who told" you tear apart the steering and confirm?
Search the part number on-line and you may find the part.
If you are getting into it yourself--see link (I have more pics if needed)
Defcon, typically when it does as you describe, it's not the cancelling cam but a broken hair pin spring that's part of the TS switch in the column. Replacing the switch will fix the problem. Good Luck....
