I want to upgrade from the base radio. Is the 430 just going to plug and play?

Is there a "go-to" after market option that would be a better choice?

Thanks

You could have searched and found both camps pretty adamant about your choices. Yes the 430 is a plug and play. The aftermarket solutions abound. Try Crutchfield.

The thing to remember about installing an aftermarket radio is that they will work in most vehicles so theft should also be a consideration. The 430 radio won't work in vehicles other than a Chrysler model.

You also need to watch the year of the vehicle you use it in VS the year of the vehicle you get it from. IIRC the older vehicles cannot use the newer radios and I believe the cutoff is around 2011.
When I installed the 730 in my 2011; I had to use one from a 2011 or earlier. Something to do with the speed of scan rate.
