I have had some issues with low batteries in my key fobs on my 2008 JK.

See here:

https://www.wranglerforum.com/f202/security-system-key-fob-issue-2367623.html

Thought I had this fixed. Drove the Jeep last night no problem.

Now both fobs are working - they lock and unlock the Jeep nicely.

Jump in this morning and accidentally stick the "bare" key - the one that isn't on a fob, that one that only unlocks the Jeep's doors in the ignition. Was in a hurry ... not thinking.

Immediately got the red security light. Jeep turned over, didn't start. That key won't start it.

BUT NOW NEITHER WILL EITHER OF THE FOB KEYS!!! I put a key with a fob in the ignition - nada. Other key with a fob ... nada. SHE WON'T START AT ALL. And yes, I've got the red security light blinnking.

Just missed an appointment because my Jeep is not willing to leave the garage. GRRR!

Someone help. Does it take a while for the Jeep to decide I'm okay after a "false start."? How long?!

I love my Jeep but this fob issue is wearing me out...

I did pull the IOD fuse (M11) in the frantic hope that it would reset things and I could go... nope.

update: waited an hour, tried to start with fob key. nope.

pulled battery cable and am letting it sit "dead" for 10 minutes.

measured battery with multimeter: 12.5 volts. it ain't a dead battery causing this.
