Hi all. Newbie here. I have a 2007 JKU sahara with 74000kms on it. 6-speed tranny Started to "pop" out of 1st gear (scares the crap out of me every time). I also have a whining/rattling noise in 2nd gear too. My old 2005 TJ had similar issues in its 6-speed and I was told it was the synchros.

I have found a copy of a US TSB for this issue on a 2007-2010 Wrangler. Does anyone in Canada know if chrysler dealers honour these TSB's? is a TSB like a recall, or am I in for big $$$?

Cheers

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin. Not a recall, tells dealers how to repair specific warranty problems. A TSB should apply in Canada same as the US. Check your powertrain warranty for mileage & years of coverage, if you are within the warranty period in should be covered, I not sure what the powertrain warranty coverage period was for the '07s.
