I recently had coilovers installed on my JKU.

EVO said that an aftermarket front driveshaft was required.

So I had my Jeep shop order Adams 1350 extreme front and rear drive shafts.

After the installation I noticed vibration and harmonic noise.

So far the shop spoke with Adams who then sent another front drive shaft.

That didn’t change anything.

A local drive shaft company made a custom drive shaft and that hasn’t changed anything.

The Adams rear drive shaft was replaced with the stock drive shaft to eliminate that and it didn’t change anything.

Now the shop wants to check the pinion gear.

Has anyone been through this if so how did you fix it?

Originally a 2 1/2” lift but with the coilovers it was at 3 1/2 or 4.

I asked the shop about the pinion angle and how they were checking it.

He told me that has a digital gauge.

What degree setting should it be?

Thanks for the link to the thread. I read the entire thread it contains some great information.

I spoke with my Jeep shop today and placed an order for a Terra Flex R44 axle housing.

It should take care of all of my issues.

I drove the Jeep today and it is better but the new axle housing will be even more improvement.

They have the pinion set at 6 degrees and the caster set at 0 degrees.

It has taken most of the noise and vibration out but the steering is a little touchy.
Now the noise and vibration starts about 68 and seems to quiet down about 80.

I hope they got the right front axle ordered. At 4" you might want high steering and that means a raised trackbar bracket + caster correction. The alternative fix would be a driveshaft made with a teraflex high angle rzeppa joint.

Thanks for posting your struggles. I always suspected there could be a vibration issue with a double cardon shaft and no cut and turn on the front.

The axle housing is for JK’s with a 4” to 6” lift.

I am also going to install Terra Flex HD ball joints.

Looked up the description and it does not mention a raised mount but it would not hurt to ask.
