I have a 2" shackle kit on mine that the po put on. Go buy some new springs! The shackle kit is easy and cheap, but the ride is all over the road. You can be riding along about 60mph and it will just decide to scoot over in the road about 4 or 5 inches. Kinda just darts around at will. Not too bad if you like having your heart in your throat all the time though. LOL

You might have some other issues goin' on there....Check your ball joints and tie rod ends. Also, your steering box.

My steering is getting tightened up as it is a little loose but everything else is good. It just kind of drives like an old car. It doesn't do it constantly, mostly it's just not like my truck that I drive all the time.

You can put it on there with them, it's just a replacement, longer, shackle.

If u do shackles add 3 degree shims under your leaf springs this will help with the castor problem that make bump steer. It rotates the front axle clockwise looking from the drivers side

Remember thick part of the wedge shaped shim points at front bumper on spring under leafs

shackles themselves dont necessarily cause this kind of driving issue, its what happens to the driveline after you lift that can cause these issues. There are plenty of drivers with shackle kits that drive just fine

when going bigger then 33s there are some other things you need to think about aside from just getting the room for them. since you have 33s already, i assume you want to go up to a 35 inch tire. if that is so, then you should also beef up your steering and brakes to handle the bigger tires. you will also need to address your rear axle if you have not already. 35 inch tires are a considered a bit more then the D35 rear end can handle. with 2 extra inches of lift, you will need to worry about drive line angles as well. a SYE and new driveshaft could very well be in your future at that height.

Totally agreed! Especially if you wheel heavy and/or are running a rear locker (or welded) you will be breaking that little dana on a regular basis...
