StreetSideAuto.com has a special going on until Monday, January 17th. Use coupon code, "CABIN100" to take $100 off any order over $500. I bought a Warn M8000 with the advertised price of $539.95. With $100 off the price is $439.95 plus no sales tax and free shipping.

Decided to buy one... too good of a deal to pass up. I was planning on trying ot make a 5k winch work (got it for free; using a snatch block, etc) and upgrading later. Can't wait until it and my bumper get here so I can mount them up :D

A 24v motor isn't gonna run properly on a 12v system...12v motor requires 12v to operate at 100% whereas a 24v motor requires 24v and will run at 50% power on 12v, provided that's enough power for it to run at all.

Makes sense... but is the 12v the "regular" version? I have a mostly stock 2003 Sahara with what I would guess is a normal battery. I assume the 12v is the one I want? What would I need for the 24v version? Thanks!

Your jeep is 12v...the 12v is the one you want. Don't try to run a 24v winch in your jeep.

For a 24v version....A full 24 volt conversion on your jeep. Motor homes and most Semi's run 24v.

;)

Just ordered mine, 419.95 after the google checkout rebate! Sick price, glad I waited around for this one

Edit: Warn was having a $25 rebate off of the M8000's through Dec 31. They said the rebate must be mailed by the 15th of January. I just emailed them to see if a purchase today would still apply. It'd be sick getting another $25 off of this price.
