Lift Kit - 35" Tires & Manufacturer's /Dealer's Warranty
Hello, I am new to the forum and the last brand new Jeep I bought was a 1979 CJ-5.
I recently purchased a (2 door) used/certified 2013 JK with about 1,800 miles and also bought the extended warranty. According to some of the recent post, I understand that if you replace stock components, with aftermarket components the dealer "may" decide to hassle you regarding the warranty, or an extended warranty. This is understandable.
Some dealers are currently modifying brand new Jeeps with lift kits and after market components and selling them for an additional $6,000 price tag. They even put them in the showroom and look very nice.
Before I invest any money in a lift kit and larger tires for my 2013 JK, I would appreciate some help with the following questions:
1. Would it be better to pay an extra $6,000 for a brand NEW "Dealer Modified" JK with large tires and a lift kit?
2. Also, can the dealer void the manufacturer's (JEEP'S) warranty by selling brand new Jeeps with a dealer modified lift and large tires?
3. What would be the best choice/decision, If I am planning to install a lift kit that can accommodate 35 inch tires? Please help me. I would really appreciate any suggestions.
