nothing is "lost in translation" when its ordered in black and white text...
It's true- I do not have an online cart -ON PURPOSE.
True enough, you can order a plethora of suspension kits online.
Problem is, they don't offer the many different options that are available that make a suspension system work the best on a particular application.
Most of the people I talk to end up ordering a slightly different (or maybe really different) configuration than they planned to go with at first.
For example, most OME dealers offer a couple of different coil spring options for wranglers. You get light or med/HD coils and that's it.
We use about 10 different coils- some of which are not even wrangler coils- to best suit the individual jeep.
Since every jeep is different in weight distribution and added accessories, armor, etc, the coils SHOULD be matched to the application.
You can't just click that.
There are other "kits" out there that aren't even complete. There are any number of vendors who are more than willing to sell these kits.
I get calls daily from guys who bought these and now they need us to help them fix problems, such as shimmies, death wobble, driveline vibes, poor handling, bad ride quality and so on.
I much prefer to have a detailed discussion with our customers up front, to let them know all the ins & outs of whatever kit they are considering. Then, they can proceed with all the info they need. It does take a lot of my time to do this.
It's worth it when our customers get what they need the first time and don't have to call us with a bunch of problems...
