I found this little problem after washing my 2001 TJ. Twice it died immediately after the self car wash. Blows fuse 12 behind the glovebox. I searched for water in the engine bay And found the harness coming from the relay box had problems. Opening up the wiring I found 2 wires that has the insulation rubbed off by the very bracket that supports the relay box - or power distribution box for you purists. Dark blue wire was exposed as was a green with pink stripe. Dark Blue goes to fuse 12. Apparently water was getting in and shorting fuse 12. I taped up the harness all the way past the battery up to the relay box. Looks better than new and it appears waterproof. I'll say this, when you use a wand at the car wash and spray the side of the hood water flies inside your engine bay.
