I'm going to order a bikini top in the next few days and I was wondering what kind should I get. I've been looking at the Bestop, Rugged Ridge, and Pavement Ends. The Bestop seems to be about twice the price of the other guys. Is it really worth it? I'm looking for the extended length to cover my whole cab area. I will also need to get a header for it and was wondering how easy are these things (header and bikini top) to take off when I want to put my hardtop back on. I'm starting to lean towards the Rugged Ridge brand since the price looks the best. I could afford to get the bikini top, header, rear cargo cover, and cab curtain for under $200. Also, has anyone ever used the Pavement ends cab cover?
My jeep is a 03TJ.Thanks for your help

I've got the besttop strapless bikini, windjammer and tonneau. The only thing I don't like about it is the way it attaches, the back corners don't stay all that tight. But if you go for the safari, I don't think you will have that problem. The header stays on when you take it off and it doesn't interfere with your softop at all. On any of them, you need the props to help them shed water, or if you get caught in the rain, you will have a lake on your top and tonneau!

I have both the Bestop bikini and safari tops. They seem to work great and have taken the abuse of the AZ sun very well. The bolt in header take's a whole 2 minutes to take off with I believe either a 7/16th's or 12mm socket.

You get what you pay for. Bestop is just what it says. Best. Read very carefully when buying a cab cover. The cheaper ones say "water resistant" they are not waterproof! The bestop cab cover is made of the same material as their tops and are waterproof!

I have the Bestop Safari great quality and fits great. I like the fact that I can use it with the door surrounds or without. I took one of the bolts from the no-drill header down to the hardware store and got two bolts that have knobs attached so I dont have to use a wrench to get it off.

I also have the bestop safari and i love it. Again, you can use it w/ or w/o door surrounds, it fits great (does hold a tad of water), and the header is sooooo easy to install and remove.

I scored a Bestop halftop on ebay for 81.00 yesterday. Looking at the pics, I'm not 100% certain it is a true Bestop Halftop, but may actually be a duster/jammer/safari combination. Either way, still a great deal. :) I can sell those parts that I don't need or keep em for spares. Ya never know when you're gonna flop! :)

Besttop has two different bikini headers: The old style which requires drilling, stays on permanently and can remain in place when running OEM tops. The newer is the "no-drill" which uses bolts and clamps in the same place as the OEM tops. The no-drill header must be removed when running a OEM soft top or hard top.

My mesh top is great. The wind doesn't make it flap like other tops and is perfect for anytime it's not raining.
