i posted this on the jeepforum.com but id like some more input. its a 97 4.0 auto with 64k mi. 4" pro comp lift, 33"'s on the cheap black rims, 6" warn flares, hard and soft tops,borla exhaust,remote start/keyless enrty,he also has for it a manik bumper and slip yolk elimanitor not installed on it, nerf bars (which would come off anyway). body is really good 1 scratch on the drivers door and a small patch of rust on the pass rocker at the very edge. it drive good also, no shakes or wandering. also has sway bar disconnects. hes asking 9,800 im gonna offer him 9 for it and see what he says, is this worth 9k?

How do you plan to use the Jeep. Off road only, daily driver and some trail use etc. I bought my 2000 for 8k in stock form but with twice the miles, as it ran better than my 01 with 35k miles, go figure.. anyway. What I would do is find a stock same year jeep setup close to this one with the stuff on it(auto, hardtop.etc..not the lift items and bumpers).. Then add up what you would spend to get it like this(lift bumpers etc) one and see what your looking at. Also factor in the condidtion of the stuff on this one, is the lift in good shape are the springs still good, how are the bushings on the control arms if it has aftermarket etc, as always check kelly blue book and edmunds to get a ball park price..

My opinion is a little different than 4JEEPN. Ckeck what the kelly book value is, take in consideration for the extra top, and that is what I would go with. All those extas don't increase the value, and under certain circumstance, may decrease the value. Just my opinion, of course. For what it is worth.

i'll agree with amerijeep. although they may have gone and spent a good chunk of change on mods for it, that doesn't increase it's value much, if at all. i'd probly check blue book on it, and add up all the mods and maybe add 1/4 of the mods price to the blue book.

well i will be using it as a daily winter and most of the summer driver (i also have a lowered/bagged suburban that i love to drive but only in the summer) and i will be doing trails with it also. the lift and flares etc.. would be stuff i would do anyway

Good luck. Don't let yourself pay more than you think is fair. The right jeep is out there. I've seen another YJ that I'd like to have. The thing is in great shape. Problem is that it's red. Not that I don't like red, just a very common YJ color.

i think its fair for the condition and work done to it but i think its the auto thats making me not to sure. i mean my yj is a auto but its also a v8 so its a little different.

id think more like 6000, i paid 5g's for mine and it had 34k on it, was bone stock, well had rims 30's and some kc's on it...

but if your talking about the one in your sig its a 4cyl, 6k would be about right for a 4 cyl around here also. it doesnt matter much anyway cause im buying today anyway
