I was looking to buy those same shackles for my 95... I read in the catalogue that the "boomerang" shackles go in the back...
I can be completely wrong, but I think the straight ones go on the front and the angled ones go on the back...
I'm not sure what difference it makes, as I'm not a Jeep engineer, but hate for you to wad it up for some reason if they are swapped...
I thought my clutch was going out ... nope! But did have major leaks! Had to replace my master cylinder and the slave cylinder (inside the AX5). While at it, the rear main seal got replaced, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and had the tranny re-sealed. Wow, I don't know what to do now that I don't have to check my fluids every week. :bop:

They can go in either location. They are designed to keep the springs from folding back in during extreme articulation while on the trail. The inner bolt stops the shackle from extending into the underside of the vehicle - it can save your leaf springs from damage.
... Just how flexy do you want to be?
Changed diff covers(G2) and filled with Mercruiser HP gear oil.
Replaced shifter seals
Installed nut-serts in tub floor for boot plate
Found out I haven't had 4wd since I got it in Sept (poured the rust out of the vac actuator). Ordered and installed new housing and actuator from O'Riellys.
I took my tire carrier off and threw my spare in the back...sick of it bouncing around so much im scared its gonna break one of these days. But i am liking the look of the clean back
Bought 2 doors off a 97 to fit on my 95 (because I read that TJ would fit on YJ) and Surprise only 96 TJs fit on my 95. Back to the salvage yard they go (luckily owned by a friend)

Oh I see, might be the other way around, 95's made in 96, I know that happened for a bit. Sorry just got the Jeep a week ago, and have never had one before, still learning.

it's possible one way or the other. I don't know for sure I didn't work at the plant at the time. My uncle did, and does. But I know there wasn't a 96 model year. But there were some made in 96 which I assume were early 97's. Either way doesn't matter except that your doors don't fit. It's frustrating to think you scored a deal and it doesn't work out.
Thank you. They were a bit of a PITA because it didn't come with the correct hardware. I emailed Quadratec and they got the right stuff to me fairly quickly.

Now that my son is driving my yj, he's bugging me to put flat flares on it. I told him if pays for half, I'd consider it. But I really like the looks of pocket flares too. Decisions decisions!
