I need help figuring out what tires and shocks I have. I got the Jeep pre owned, a 2013, and the previous owner put brand new tires on it which is very lucky, but I don't know of they are 33s or something. I don't know if the shocks are stock either, I want to go offroading but beginner trails since I never owned a Jeep before. Does anyone know if I can with my current set from what the previous owner did? Someone said it looks like it may have a 1 inch lift kit too. If anyone can recommend good shocks and a lift would be great! I was told by a jeep friend get a 4 inch kit, but I'm not sure.

Rancho shocks. Load e tires.....too stiff for Jeep! Looks stock height. Find tire size on it...like 255/70r17 or that...

Ok. If the shocks are too stiff, they are not good enough to do offroading?
No...tires to stiff. E rating is for heavy trucks. Not lighter Jeeps. Need c rated tires... especially for a 2 door.

Looks like you are ready to go. 2nd on the Rancho's. OK shocks to start out with. Those Falken Wildpeak A/T are good tires. I would just keep both. Those are E rated tires so they will be a little stiff, Run the pressure down to 26 or 27 lbs and it will help the ride a lot. Find a local Jeep club and join. They will have lots of beginners to got out with. Be prepared to have fun and enjoy. Once you get the upgrade bug, and you will, you will understand " JEEP = Just Empty Every Pocket.

ok thanks. Could i find any nearby clubs on here?
Those are Fallen AT3W. The size is stamped on stamped on the sidewall. They could P or E depending on size. Load rating would also be stamped on the sidewall. You want the E ones offroading with rocks. As for the shocks who knows. Your pic only shows red shock boots.

In either case you don’t need any mods at all to wheel a Jeep. Find an offroad trail put her in 4x4 and go have fun.

Yes there is a section towards the bottom of forums for local areas by state. The best way I have found is through Facebook. I am sure all of the clubs in your area will have a page. Here in the Dallas/Ft Worth area there are at least 2 or 3 and that's the ones I know about. Most experienced Jeepers I know are happy to meet with beginners and pass on their experiences. You will very surprised at how capable your Wrangler is with just the upgrades you have. Just go enjoy it. You will figure out what mods you want as you go. Welcome to the family.

Run those tires at 10-15 psi while off-road and it will feel fine….. I’d run at 27-28 on-road with those
OP,

As others have said. The shocks are a Rancho, Tires are the Falken. the great debate on tire load is on you. While a C/P load will be more cushy on the road, they will require slightly less air pressure for off road. The problem here is.. A better chance for a puncture in the thin sidewall of the tire. An E load tire has a stiffer sidewall and will stand up to greater abuse when aired down. That said, to achieve the same squishiness, You have to drop air pressure in to the mid-high teens.
