Hey y'all. Need some expert advice.
I'm getting my '88 straight 6 soft top back. Drove it in high school and it's been garaged and driven the last 25 years with about 40K original miles. Everything is stock except for the 31 BFGs and the chrome.

I think I know what to do with it but not down to the details. I'm on a budget and want to keep it looking like an '88, stay away from drivetrain mods and have an athletic stance that will see mostly pavement.

I'm thinking 15x8 chrome wagon wheels running 12.5" wide 33 mud terrains for more of a stuffed look.

So, what about a 2.5"-3" suspension lift and 1" body or shackles?
Will I have to mess with an sye, dropped tcase or extended pitman arm combining the suspension lift with body or shackle lifts? What else am I missing?
Don't mind trimming the fenders a bit or rubbing as long as nothing gets trashed.

Thanks!

If it's going to be mostly a highway rig, I'd do a 1 1/2" body lift and 31s. That'll give you a nice "look" and the 31s wont kill the power like 33s.
None of that is irreversible and isn't too expensive.

Good Luck, L.M.
