Recently ordered a Black Horse brush guard and hood protector. The brush guard was delivered 2 days ago and came complete with a dent in the top crossover pipe. I sent a note and pics to customer support and have yet to hear anything back. The hood protector was delivered today and has obviously been repackaged from a return. There were no alcohol or primer pads included and the part is scratched. I've started a return on that. No packaging was damaged on either item so it's not the shipper's fault.

Obviously I'm not going to install these defective parts on our new to us JK. I also don't think it's right for me to have to pay to send this stuff back. I'll wait a bit to see what Quadratec wants to do but am hoping they replace this stuff with new undamaged items ASAP. If not, a chargeback might be an option.

I hate to be a jerk about things like this but paid good money for new undamaged parts delivered to my door. Anyone else having problems with Quadratec lately??

I ordered recently a OEM tailgate vent for my JK and it arrived in time but without original package and the part doest look new, it has all sort of dings and scratches. Im not returning, its a $7.99 part and $5 something delivery fee. But it doesn't look right to me either.

Quadratec.com is one of my go-to websites for jeep accessories. They have been reliable, responsive and the discount helps spread the jeep bucks. Holiday weekend may delay immediate service but contact them for assistance the next business day(s).

I placed only 2 orders with them:
First one - very happy, new part -everything as described.
Second order - more of "eBay stile" delivery, functional part but slightly used, no oem package.
But whatever, part price is low enough, not worth the hassle to return.

Update: hood guard was returned and refunded without issue but I have yet to hear squat about the brush guard. QT shows that "something" has been shipped but I have no idea what it is. Replacement brush guard?? Who knows at this point?? Should have started a return on it from the beginning but thought I'd give em a chance to replace part of it instead of the entire thing. Lesson learned, I guess.

I’ve ordered from them since 2005. They’ve only gotten one order wrong, sent a softtop knuckle instead of an oil filter. They always beat others prices, and get parts to me in three days. I like em. Seems like they would sell used parts like that at a discount or return item. They’ll make it right if you call them. Just human error in a rushed world.

I agree... Waz UP??

After 100's of orders since 1999, they botched my last order also. TOTALLY sent the wrong thing. When I saw the wrong thing, I refused to accept it from Brown and told him to return it to sender. Q-Tec over-nighted the right thing as soon as I called and told them what had happened. Then they botched sending the right thing and sent two. OH WELL. I agree, WAZZ UP with them??

Quadratec, You might have a problem in your warehouse section. I know that the work force is becoming less and less QUALITY workers, but ultimately, it's your job to make sure those No-Load, Lazy, give me 8 hrs pay for 1 hr. work type of workers don't stay in your employment any longer than they have to to be ID'ed and replaced with caring workers. I for one, am going to keep using you for my primary supplier, but if this continues, I will go to Morris 4x4 and you will be my back up. Like I say, Since 1999, then all of a sudden. Hmmmm. Find that problem worker and dump em.

Knock on wood, but I have NEVER had an issue with Quadratec. Parts, packing, shipping, warranty. I had to return one piece in the previous 10 years, and that was due to the manufacturer erroneously listing fitment that was incorrect.

Just dropped a couple grand today (my 7th order year to date), with the typical impeccable customer service I have come to expect.

Thanks to Hailey this has finally been resolved. The replacement guard was delivered late last week and will be installed today. Black Horse sent a good one but it is missing quite a bit of hardware. I have a fully stocked bolt bin in the shop so can use what I have to fill in the missing pieces.

I've had very good luck with Quadratec in the past but this is a new development for me. I wouldn't necessarily blame Quad for the damaged guard because it was drop-shipped from the manufacturer. However, I wish it could have been corrected a bit sooner. With regards to sending the repackaged hood guard, I realize that many retailers do this but it's pretty disingenuous. If it's simply the result of someone in the back packing whatever is handy then that person needs a reeducation. Getting a returned part kinda sucks.

Guess I spoke too soon. I'm not sure what vehicle this fits but it sure isn't a 2011 JK. I'd post pics but don't have an on-line host since PhotoBucket went nuts but the guard doesn't come close to nesting up to the bumper like it should. Hopefully Ashley (not Hailey as I mentioned before) can get me a return label and refund ASAP.

PM sent. The part # checks out but the fit is clearly for another vehicle. Not sure what happened but we're done messing with this particular issue. Can't believe it's been this difficult trying to get a brush guard installed on the wife's Wrangler.

For anyone following along on this, I've communicated with 3 different folks at Quad trying to get this issue resolved but nothing is happening. They ask questions, I answer and then listen to crickets. We've turned it over to our CC company who will handle it as soon as the grace period expires.

for the second time, despite using this forums discount and it being attached to my profile. they still manage to ship my stuff sure post. I live in an area where my post office BLOWS. sometimes it would take USPS a week to deliver my item despite quadratec only being 3 hours from me. on-top of that the prices are still super high. My order sheet is literally 4 or 5 pages with some very high dollar items so for all of this loyalty i now only get 1 or 2 % off items now with UPS sure post shipping? I thought the forum discount was 5% pluss free ground shipping? Again for the second time I had to pay to upgrade my shipping to ground!

Get your crap together quad?!

They are my go-to. Forum discount offsets that I have to pay tax plus, free quick shipping that the only time I had an issue with was a lazy FedEx driver that apparently can't read street names or house numbers (fortunately ended up at one of the very few people in the neighborhoods house I actually talk to). Heck, literally just ordered from them last week without a hiccup. Now 4x4 Pep Boys... I mean 4Wheel Parts is a whole different story...
