I am planning to install 15x8, 4.0 BS, black window "d" wheels on 33x11.50x15 tires or 33x12.5x15. Also planning on 3" Teraflex lift with 4.56 gears very soon. I don't want the tires to stick out too much from the rockers.

Will the 4.0 BS work without any rubbing?
Is the 4.56 gears a good choice?

I have an I6, Auto transmission.

Thanks-

4" to 4.25" of BS is ideal, you can't do better than that for 33x12.50 or 35x12.5" wide tires. Where'd you find a 33x11.50 tire? :)

Whoops I forgot about the regearing ratio question. For 33" tires and your particular transmission, a 3-speed automatic, go with 4.10.

4.56 and especially 4.88 would produce excessively high highway rpms with 33" tires with the 3-speed automatic transmission. 4.56 would be appropriate for 33" tires if you had the 5-speed but not with your 3-speed automatic that does not have an overdrive final gear ratio. :)

Thanks guys for your advice on this and now I am confident about my wheels and gear decisions.

You are absolutely right, I can't find tires with 33x11.5x15 tires.

Jerry~ would it be better to re gear it 4.56 ratio since I have all the extra weight such as winch, roof rack, front and rear bumpers, and soon bigger tires? Or will this still produce excessively high rpm at cruising speed and should stick to 4.10?

Currently have 3.07 gears.:(
