Guy at the shop told me the best way to balance my type of rim (no lip on the outside for weights), was to use some gel? that you squeeze into the tire and it automatically balances itself???

Anyone know what this is? And does it work?

Thanks!

with no lip? I'd use sticky flat wheel weights

Yeah have them use sticky weights. Typically weights that go on the inside of the tire are designed for heavy duty, high load range tires

That's what I use, and it doesn't get it perfect. That's why I was seeing if anyone had heard of this gel.

I've never heard of the gel. Maybe something like dynabeads would work. Don't use the sand though that's for medium and heavy duty use only.

The off balance part of the tire can be anywhere - from outside to inside.
That's why a good balance uses weights BOTH inside and outside.

Sticky tape on weights on the outside, clip on weights on the inside.

If you can find someone that can do it - have them true the tire first - make it round. It makes a HUGE difference.
