I bought my 2007 Wrangler X with the stock steel wheels. I have since replaced them with 17" alloy rims from a Rubicon Unlimited.

I thought those base model steel wheels are 15". I looked up some Mopar parts and they were listed at 16". I put a tape measure on them, and they measure at 17".

I am trying to sell them but want to make sure I advertise them right.

anyone got a definitive answer? I am willing to concede I am measuring them wrong

Steel wheels are stamped on the outer rim
You have to remove the tire to see it

Aluminum wheels have a # on the back side usually on the spoke

They measure 17" because you are measuring the mounting rim too, that isn't usually included in the measurements. What size is the tire that's mounted on it? 225/?/ 16" ? :) (easy as can be)
