Hey guys,
I am getting ready to put on some aftermarket wheels on my Jeep. I notice a couple of the studs have these rings around them as pictured. Do I need to take these off? Wheels are lug-centric.

Sorry I don't know the technical terms for this haha. You can get the idea I hope from the picture.

Those are put on at the factory just to hold the rotors in place while the vehicle is being assembled. They serve no other purpose and can be removed anytime.

Yes, take them off. There is a video by Teraflex that brings these up. They were put on for some manufacturing reason that escapes me. Toss 'em.

I believe those are put on at the factory to keep the rotors on while on the assembly line. If you look at the back of the stock wheels there is an indention where they fit. If you are going to put on spacers or wheels I'd suggest taking them off.
