Right now I have a 2.5" lift on my tj. I am looking to ngo a little bigger with coil spacers and maybe a body lift, But I would like to know whether 1" or 1.5" coil spacers would be best to give me a little more clearance. Also i do not want to do the SYE and Drive shaft upgrade right now.

First off, why are you trying to lift more? Larger tires? Are you running 33's currently?

2nd: If your sticking with 33's, Id stick with that lift, do a 1" BL, MML and a tummy tuck. The tummy tuck alone will net you around 3" of clearance underneath which alone is equal to 3" suspension lift by itself.

If you don't want the SYE now your only option is a 1.25" body lift. Anything over 3" of suspension lift could necessitate a TC drop or an SYE & DC drive shaft. Every Jeep is a little bit different and you can never really tell until you get vibes.

I am trying to run 33s and I already have a tcase drop that was put on with the lift. i am not sure if it needs it cause I never drove it with out a tcase drop. but i would like to do 1.5" coil spacers to get me to 4" of lift then eventually get a SYE but I am not sure if the tcase drop would be sufficient for a 4" lift.

With 33's, stick with the 2.5" lift.....do a 1" BL/MML.........then do a flat tummy tuck. Higher suspension lift ='s worse suspension/drivetrain geometry. No need for a 4" lift on 33's. Stick with what you have, do the BL/MML, get rid of the Tcase drop and go with a flat pan skid underneath.

are you suggesting that he wont need a SYE, CV driveshaft, and adjustable control arms with a 2.5" lift, 1" MML, and a flat skid?

I know you can't be, but i dont want to confuse the OP

Fair warning, you might get some hardcore vibes even with the MML so be ready to shell out the money for an SYE if you take that TC drop off. And if you are going to be tucking the TC even closer up towards the tub, you most likely will need an SYE regardless.
EDIT: ^Beat me to it.

FYI

I put the 2.5 RC on mine without the tcase drop and immediately had new vibrations as soon as I pulled onto the road. Put the tcase drop on a little later and that vibration went away as fast as it arrived.

As NJO mentioned, you could go with the bl and mml now and get rid of the tc drop. Then later, when you're ready to do the SYE/DC shaft, you could do the tummy tuck.

x2 on the BL MML combo. I had the 2.5 rc lift with significant vibes. I added a 1.25 BL and the brown dog 1" mml and she runs like a dream. PM me or search other threads if you need any install tips!

I'm running the RC 2.5" SL. When I got my 33s I added a 1.25" BL and 1" MML AND A .75" spacer on the front to level it out. 4.5" in the front, 3.75" in the back. Even with 4.5" lift in the front I needed to extend the bumpstops because it was rubbing.
