Peters Mill is a glorified dirt road, but for a first timer you'll love it and it will get you wanting MOAR! Hit Taskers Gap which is right there too, if you go. Its better than Peters Mill run. If you are closer to Rausch creek go there.

Taskers/Peters Mill was the first place I went with my old ZJ on 31s and it had me smiling ear to ear. Definitely a stepping stone to a bigger rig and better trails. You'll probably never want to go back after you hit bigger trails.

Peters Mill or Rausch Creek? Which do you think and why?
I would recommend peters mill. After that while your stock I would go to flagpole. Then I would make the trek to rausch. Dont get me wrong, I love rausch creek but I highly recommend you get to know your rig first so you know how to handle different situations. Hop on one of these trips with gbobva, danrb, or firefox2501. I know that these three will give you an amazing amount of knowledge and they will be completely honest with you amd deter you from doing things that might break you rig. Good luck amd enjoy the wheeling!

If it wasn't for Dan, I probably would have tried to go over that rock at FP resulting in my driver side door being bashed upwards. I wanted to do it with the factory side steps as my "rock protection"

If I make it up that way I will for sure be in touch, how much advance notice do you need? I'll either post in this thread or PM you.
BTW, I am currently all stock, so from what I have gathered these trails should be no problem, correct?

A few days notice is fine. I will be driving my stock Rubicon. You'll be surprised at what a stocker can do. What trim level is your Wrangler?

I haven't done flag pole yet but the Edinburg trails are about as mild as they get. We took a guy up there with a stock dodge Nitro and he didn't scrape. It had factory ground effects and skinny tires on 17" chrome rims, yet for some reason had 4 wheel drive and LSD.

OK, change of plans this weekend. Wife just dropped a bomb on me and asked if we could go to Uwharrie instead. What a great wife! Edinburg is 3 hrs away, Uwharrie is 4.5 and its waaaay worth that extra hour and a half.

So anyway, if you wanna cut your teeth on some real trail I will be wheeling my 10A there with my wife, kids and dog. You are more than welcome to convoy with or meet up there.

No, never got a chance. The school I was in was long hours and not much free time. Hoping to before too long though. Looks like Red Cloud isn't happening this weekend either.
Gonna plan to try to get to Peters Mill/ Flagpole sometime though.
