2012 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited
1. Current tires Cooper Discoverer A/T3 265/70R17 with about 3,000 miles
2. I also have the original issue Goodyear Dueler tires and wheels 255/70R18 with about 47,000 miles

I have an upcoming trip of about 3000 miles to FL and back pulling a light boat trailer.

Circumferences of tires unloaded are 98.7" and 100.9" respectively. Assuming equal inflation pressures, and NOT compensating for reduced over all diameter fully loaded, I get 1,925,835 tire rotations vs. 1,883,845, or roughly 42,000 extra revolutions for the Coopers.

Although the 265 Coopers have a higher profile than the Goodyear 255, they also have a more aggressive tread, and much better preserved tread.

Which tires would you run? (No off-road stuff and no snow and ice likely.)

I'd finish off the duelers and toss them after the trip with an even 50,000 miles.
