depends what she wants it for. If she wants to use it for real (offroad) id go TJ or YJ depending on the direction of modification. I love my TJ. CJ is always a winner but a good one is hard to find and parts are getting fewer. Not a fan of the new JK but it does have its advantages. Would highly advise not getting the 4cyl. Depending on what she plans to do with it i would research axles as well. If she wants to be a mall crawler i would say stay away. If she wants a Jeep to be a Jeep. GREAT and welcome
This is a very good point! I hadnt thought of that before!mudmagnet63 said:Woah now, if it wasn't for the mall crawlers where would we find our cherries wating to be jacked up? I always buy used 4x4 from the city they're usually prime condition compaired to us country boys toy's.

Haha the best rigs I know are Lj's. I guess it all depends on what your idea of "offroad" is.Dinny Dunne said:If you are not gonna off road don't buy a Wrangler. It's an off road vehicle! It's like the Big-Boy version of my quad. If you're staying on road get an Acura or Honda or Mitsubishi....who cares. For serious off road go w/ standard length. For 50/50 I love my '06 LJ (TJ). Drives better on road and OK off road (just larger turning radius). And....it's a JEEP!
I prefer to shift myself so I like the 6 speed. but an auto is convenient and good off road (no slipping the clutch).
Plus the 4.0 6cyl is supposed to be indestructible and it's got good power and torque
